(More customer reviews)These are the best gardening shoes I've ever found. I wear them to work five days a week. I wish they made a dress version so I'd have something more stylish to wear on weekends.
The fit seems to be true to size. A woman's US Size 9 in most shoes usually fits me and that's the size I wear in Lawn Grips, too.
It's not easy to slip this shoe on. It helps to use a shoe horn. OTOH, the fit is secure...as it should be in a work shoe. The two velcro straps allow you to adjust the fit.
This shoe is cut slightly higher than an athletic shoe and has a snug inner collar to keep out debris.
I wore my first pair for about 15 months. I was working a huge estate and probably walked 7-8 miles a day. Overall, the shoe held up very well. The sole had some wear, but still had good treads. The seam across the top of the foot where leather and rubber meet began to separate. The thread simply wore out. Finally I realized the cushioning and fabric within the shoe was worn out, too.
Now I'm on my second pair. I've worn them a year now and they're still in good shape.
One thing I recommend is using a boot dryer, especially if wearing these shoes every day. It dries out the natural moisture that forms in the boot.
