The answer for most of us Y-chromosome types is a golf umbrella. Of course you don't want it to be blown inside-out. The answer is the Gustbuster. It will resist anything up to and including a strong gale (Beaufort Scale) by a kind of judo--if the wind gets under the umbrella's canopy, it just lifts the upper canopy away from the lower and exits harmlessly. You might well find yourself doing a Mary Poppins before this brolly blows out :). The 68-inch size allows you to offer shelter to someone else without leaving it yourself. There are various advantages to this. This is the umbrella to have.
