(More customer reviews)Saw the forecast weather reports, that said heavy rains are coming...said too myself, "got to get a bigger umbrella"...my mind was set on a clear plastic see-though umbrella. Read all the umbrella catalog ads in Amazon. This vendor was smart enough to enter the size of the diameter...The clear plastic is fairly strong and coated with something that the rain runs off. The ribs are well made, and device to release or close is nicely made, No catching your finger skin. Only reason I did not give it a 5 STAR...is the strap that holds it closed..is thin and narrow and may break off any time now. With a clear umbrella, I won't be poking others I can't see when walking into heavy rain. The large diameter will allow me and another to walk together. The price was more than I wanted to pay, but I have brought a lot of umbrellas in 40 years and I only have 2 black heavy duty funeral types left, that I don't like to carry when I'm wearing black clothes. All the $1 and $5 ones are broken and gone, from mishaps and weather.
